Must have WordPress Plugins

On August 15th, 2010, posted in: WordPress Plugins by

These are just a few wordpress plug-ins I have here on this site. The first one I want to mention is WordPress Database Backup this is a must have. For one you should always back up your database before installing plug-ins I have had some plugins bring my wordpress blog crashing down.

Everything on the site is stored in a database so if you back your us (I back this one up nightly with the WordPress Database Backup plugin) It auto does it & emails me the sql.gz I in fact had to restore my database today after testing a plugin so I would say back up your database then grab the WordPress Database Backup and install it.

Here is a list of the plug-in I often use on WordPress blogs

Akismet

Akismet checks your comments against the Akismet web service to see if they look like spam or not. You need an API key to use it. You can review the spam it catches under “Comments.” To show off your Akismet stats just put <?php akismet_counter(); ?> in your template. See also: WP Stats plugin.
